Perfectly Hidden, Perfectly Revealed is a 22x30" original acrylic painting on Fabriano Artistico watercolor paper and part of the Robyn Sand Anderson exhibit "The Suffering of Becoming". After a diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis in 2008 and several years of sustained pain and fatigue, painting in the abstract became a way to express the things that words cannot. Moving from over thirty years of representational watercolors to acrylic abstract expressionism in 2010, Sand Anderson found that vibrant color and the act of painting itself to be a great healer and a way to work through her experience of sustained suffering. After creating four exhibits wrestling with the suffering that we all experience one way or another as human beings, Robyn has now set her sights on the power of combining visual art with music. Noticing that she sees color when listening to music, Sand Anderson uses color, texture and movement to interpret music with paint.
