The only way to explain it to you is to show you. Today I took 4 different pictures of the same painting (keep scrolling down.) Working over a the painting posted on Jan. 22, 2014, I used a metallic gold that looks different in different lighting situations. When light shines on it directly is bursts out in brilliant, shiny gold. In natural lighting it has a deeper gold, less shiny. It makes the painting so interesting. It speaks differently every time you walk past it!
