Acrylic on Archival Gessobord with 3/4" Birch Sides, 12x12", Ready to hang!

I've always liked the dove as a symbol. It can mean different things for different people. For me, it is a symbol of peace, a symbol of God's Spirit. I've been concentrating on looking at older Painting-A-Day paintings that haven't sold before my Annual Open House Art Sale next week. I am looking at them with a critical eye in the sense of constructive criticism. I don't get negative on my self, but rather I am curious. What would it take to make that painting sing? Sometimes I am successful and sometimes I am not. It's like a self-challenge I guess, to make something work that hasn't. That, and I don't want to waste materials. Today I felt good about two that I worked on and not so much on the third. But I'm not giving up! I have a couple of large paintings that I am taking out of their mat and frames to see if I can improve them. I'll keep you posted. Literally. This painting was originally posted Feb. 26.

This painting has SOLD.

I absolutley love the color and the symbolism of the dove, the Spirit of God. In reading your comments about looking at paintings previously done, each one may already "sing" to another's eye. It is great that you have a curiosity about them, without being negative! Your work brings beauty to our world Robyn!!
