A Cropping of an Acrylic on Watercolor Paper I'm back after a wonderful hiatus/week-long art workshop! My trip to Sedona, AZ was a gift from a Fellowship Grant through the PLRAC/McKnight Foundation. I studied with abstract expressionist, Jan Sitts. The title of the workshop was Texture, Color, Feeling. Perfect! I am happy with the techniques and ideas I have come away with from this workshop. Ideas for great brushes, new pigments as well as different ways to create yummy textures. I am so excited to try some new things, which you will see in my future Painting-A-Day posts. I also plan to do some paintings of varying sizes, as some of you have expressed interest in larger pieces. The image above is a cropped portion of a painting I am working on. It is currently in transit from AZ, so I will finish it next week along with several others and will post them soon. Stay tuned and thanks for following my work!
