Acrylic on Archival Gessobord with 3/4" Birch Sides, 12x12", Ready to hang!

Today a little creative problem solving, both on the painting and on the delivery! This painting, from November 6, 2013 has an added layer of gauzy paper, subduing the strong, spiral motif. It's softer and better, I think. It suggests a misty scene of land, sun and sky. The other problem of the day was that I couldn't find my camera. I use a 35mm Sony to take pictures of my paintings which I then transfer to my computer. We were gone this last weekend and I had it with me then. I searched the house....every surface, under papers, under couches and chairs. Then I did that two or three more times, as if it would finally come out of hiding. At last, it was found in my car. But my car is out of town. Well, I thought, I will just paint up a storm and be at peace that I can't post anything until Friday. Sigh. I looked at my phone. Camera in phone. Not as good, but still, a camera of sorts. I gave it a try, sent it to my email, dragged it into Photoshop and here ya go. Not too bad. I feel a sense of satisfaction when I can figure out ways to get things done even if the circumstances aren't ideal. I think I get that from my mother. She was very creative taking care of the needs of five kids and a husband on a small budget. We never felt deprived, and we learned that there are ways to creatively solve most problems!
