Acrylic on Archival Gessobord with 3/4" Birch Sides, 12x12", Ready to hang!

I've always loved golden fields up against dark, purplish clouds. Blue, blue sky and blue waters. Sometimes car rides are good, just to get you out into the open. What is challenging is to not let all of your daily worries and concerns completely consume your mind so that you barely notice what you've just driven through. Take some minutes to empty your mind a bit on your next road trip. Push aside invading thoughts of "you should do this, I need to do that..." and just really take in the what you are seeing out of the car windows. Notice the colors, the contrasts, the shapes and forms. Remind yourself of what a gift it is, to feel safe and free to drive wherever you want, to enjoy the land and water around you. Notice the sweep of clouds and how they change from day to day, creating drama. Sometimes I remember the sun. I know, shocking! But I really think about the miracle it is that our planet receives what it needs to grow and support life here. Amazing. Think about it. In your car. On your next road trip. (The golden hill is more towards a gold color than what you might call a regular yellow...my computer makes it look a bit more towards yellow. Each person's computer is different.)
