Painting-A-Day Year One Completed!!
Acrylic on Archival Gessobord with 3/4" Birch Sides, 12x12", Ready to hang!
Things I have learned in this year of a Painting-A-Day. 1) I can't actually paint a painting a day. I learned this one pretty fast. It was not logistically possible...unless I was willing to give up my life, my family, my friends. 2) This is an excellent way to get me in the studio painting on days when I don't have other commissions going. I work best with deadlines. That 3:00pm deadline makes me move. Sometimes it gets later, but that's okay, too. 3) I've learned many things about traversing the "inter-webs". 4) I've learned more tricks about working in Photoshop to tweak the brightness, color and size of the photos of my work. 4) Sometimes you can't get the painting completely finished in 4-6 hours. 5) I forgive myself for that. 6) I love color. 7) I love painting. 8) I love writing. 9) I enjoy getting feedback from an audience, and 10) I am going to continue doing this Painting-A-Day Challenge. Woohoo! :)
