"Nothing Can Separate Us From the Love of God"

This painting was commissioned in memory of Pastor Chris Nelson, Bethlehem Lutheran, South Minneapolis. One of his favorite verses was Romans 8:38-39.
38 For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Pastor Chris loved to sail and loved the references and images of water in Scripture. I found a piece of choral music based on those verses which helped inspire this painting.
