I like to take a photo after every step of layering when I paint. It helps me remember what I did to create a certain effect or color and it helps you see how a painting is built...at least one way a painting is built. The blue rectangle, bottom right, is painter's tape to save the white surface for later in the painting process. The blue tape you see in the third painting helps to create the cruciform shape within the painting and is removed as the painting progresses. I am not quite finished, but I am getting close!
