A work in progress...today's close-up.
Today was scary. It always is, when you have an idea, you've pictured it in your mind, you've planned the execution, the colors and it's time to dive in. There is a certain degree of forgiveness if you wipe away what you've done, fast enough. You learn to trust...and you learn there's always another path you can take. Nothing is written in stone, except for Michaelangelo's work...and he was a genius. So, all in all, I am pleased with my progress. So far, this is turning out to be more toward representational than abstract. That's okay, I've decided. It needed to get out and this is what is happening. When doing an exhibit you try to stay in the same genre, same style, relatively. I am going to reside in the "relatively" because, hey...this is how I've been moved to express this idea of wreckage up against beauty and why we find ourselves in it, that is, both beauty and wreckage.
