Feb. 10, '13 (or Feb. 9 REVISITED), Acrylic on Gessobord
(1-1/2" birch sides) 12" x 12" Ready-to-Hang
at my mind as I went to sleep last night.
I made some additions and now...now, I am happy with it. So I am reposting it today and the Feb. 9 painting no longer exists. I will remove that one from the purchase page. Today I spent more time listening to Buxtehude's piece (beautiful, by the way...and growing more beautiful as I listen to it multiple times.) I worked on the themes and sketches of the seven paintings (see Feb. 9 post). I will now choose the palette of colors I am going to use. I use a repetition of color, shape and style to tie paintings together into a series based on a certain text or music, or both. Sometimes the design part of this journey is the most difficult...until I start painting and that's a whole new challenge...for I need to somehow portray the meaning and feel of each cantata, yet use the color, design and texture that will tie them together as a family.
I am not nervous, I am excited! (repeat 5x).
This painting has SOLD. Check back tomorrow for a new painting!
