In 2012, I collaborated with Dr. Brian Schmidt, Director of Duke University Chapel's Vespers Choir, in interpreting the seven cantatas of Membra Jesu Nostri by Dieterich Buxtehude for their performance that April (see Membra Jesu Nostri tab.) This exhibit is now part of the Duke University Chapel Collection.
My current exhibit of nine paintings was inspired by another of Dr. Schmidt's choirs, the South Dakota Chorale. From their album Sacred Songs of Life & Love, I've interpreted Arvo Pårt's Sieben Magnificat Antiphonen and Nunc Dimittis. A special thank you to Dr. Brian Schmidt and the South Dakota Chorale for the inspiration they created. Here's a link to their album which includes more: http://www.southdakotachorale.com/sacred-songs/.
If you aren't able to see my exhibit at one of the following venues, you can enjoy the exhibit (under the Magnificat tab) by clicking on the play button below each painting and then click on the art to enlarge. The lyrics are to the right of each painting.
